about our program
The Baton Rouge Magnet High School Choral Department touts a legacy of choral excellence that has spanned generations. Our program focuses not only on vocal technique and varying, unique performance experiences; but also on musicianship, music theory, and sight-reading, as well as giving students opportunities to excel as soloists. Many of our students become lifelong musicians, whether in professional performance, education, or as a leader in their community, and continue to set the bar high for their peers.

This is a choir for those students who have done some singing, but are not fluent in music theory or sightreading skills.

This choir is for treble voices (female students) who have some vocal technique skills, as well as some basic skills in music theory and sightreading.
Gleecians
This choir is made up of Tenor/Bass voices (male students) who have intermediate-to-advanced level skills in vocal technique, music theory, and sight-reading.
Choralaires

Festival Singers
